Work Model: Hybrid
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: $86,599 - $108,244 per annum
Status: Permanent Full-Time

Position Summary

Working under the direction of the Manager, Strategy & Transformation, Quality & Safety, and Medical Director, Quality & Safety, the Quality & Safety Associate will work to develop and support the physician and overall infrastructure of Quality & Safety at UHN through the planning, support, coordination, and implementation of quality improvement and patient safety projects, resources, events, communications, and policies. The incumbent will act in a project management role for assigned activities and initiatives that include environmental scans, action planning, data collection & analysis, change management, and report writing.

Duties

  • Performs planning and project management responsibilities.
  • Partners with designated UHN teams to plan and implement quality improvement and change management activities.
  • Monitors progress towards the achievement of Quality & Safety strategic goals at regular intervals and takes action, as required.
  • Reinforces Quality & Safety principles, such as Model for Improvement and Whole System Quality.
  • Prepares appropriate materials and documents in support of short- and long-term planning initiatives.
  • Performs administrative duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • At minimum, completion of a bachelors degree in a healthcare-related field; masters degree in healthcare-related field preferred.
  • At minimum, over 2 years of practical and related experience or on-the-job training in a healthcare setting; 4-6+ years' experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating change initiatives in a healthcare setting is required.
  • Experience working with physicians and other clinicians is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment is required.
  • Knowledge of hospital organizational structure and processes is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in use of Microsoft Office applications.
