We are recruiting for a dynamic and experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our high-impact finance team. This on-site role is based at our head office in Downtown Toronto.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Analyst Business Intelligence & Analytics to join our high-impact finance team. As a key member of our organization, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside senior leaders, directly contributing to strategies that shape our business. Your insights will be essential in driving financial performance, optimizing operational efficiencies, and supporting our value creation initiatives.

This role offers a blend of strategic involvement and hands-on analytics, giving you exposure to both high-level business initiatives and tactical decision support. You'll work in a collaborative environment, where your contributions will be highly visible and impactful.

This on-site role is based at our head office in Downtown Toronto.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Strategic Analytics & Insights

  • Collaborate closely with operational teams to develop KPIs, metrics, and dashboards to monitor and evaluate performance against targets. Identify opportunities for operational improvement and cost optimization.
  • Deliver forward-looking business intelligence, identifying key drivers of success and areas of risk.
  • Synthesize large datasets into compelling narratives, equipping stakeholders with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Lead the development of scenario analyses and financial models to assess potential outcomes and support long-term planning.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline existing processes using automation tools, advanced modeling, and modern analytical techniques.

Financial & Business Intelligence Reporting

  • Develop data-driven presentations for executive leadership, board meetings, and strategic planning sessions, translating complex datasets into actionable insights on performance trends and business opportunities.
  • Conduct advanced variance analysis across clinics, leveraging business intelligence tools to uncover patterns, assess deviations from benchmarks (budget, forecast, and prior year), and provide root cause diagnostics to drive informed decision-making.
  • Align financial analytics with operational KPIs, ensuring seamless integration of data insights into strategic initiatives and performance management frameworks across the organization.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Provide analytical support to corporate departments, e.g., marketing, procurement, HR, etc.
  • Champion data governance principles, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and integrity in all reporting activities.
  • Develop models and scenario analyses to support strategic planning and decision-making at the corporate level.

Process Optimization & Innovation

  • Continually improve processes, drive change, and elevate reporting for the overall organization.
  • Identify and eliminate inefficiencies by implementing streamlined workflows, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Introduce dynamic, interactive reporting tools that empower stakeholders to access near real-time insights and make data-driven decisions.

Performance & Value Optimization

  • Measure and analyze the impact of business initiatives, leveraging advanced analytics and BI tools to assess operational efficiencies, market trends, and strategic opportunities.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities impacting performance metrics, providing data-backed recommendations to mitigate challenges and optimize business outcomes.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on non-financial KPIs, leveraging statistical models and data visualization to uncover trends, correlations, and key drivers of performance.
  • Transform complex datasets into actionable intelligence, enabling leadership to make data-driven decisions that enhance growth, efficiency, and profitability.

Education, Credentials, Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or financial analytics within fast-paced, data-driven environments.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • A strong communicator, a natural business partner, and someone who demonstrates big-picture thinking with a strong grasp of details and a can-do attitude.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including but not limited to VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and building complex models.
  • Strong proficiency with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.,) to develop reports and analytical insights.
  • Moderate experience with automation tools and SQL coding to streamline data extraction, enhance reporting efficiency, and support process automation initiatives.
  • Ability to navigate a continually expanding client base and become a trusted business partner to the Operations team (VPs, Directors, and Regional Managers).
  • Multi-site experience is preferred.
