We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Advisor with over 8 years of progressive experience to align HR strategies with business objectives. This role will be based from our Toronto North York Head Office. This is an on-site position.

Job Overview:

The Senior HR Business Advisor will serve as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance across all HR practice areas, including employee relations, organizational design, workforce planning, leadership development, and compliance with employment laws and standards. This role requires a high degree of autonomy and collaboration with leadership teams to foster a high-performing, inclusive culture.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Strategic HR Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to senior leaders, identifying and implementing HR solutions to meet evolving business needs.

Employee Relations and Compliance: Lead and resolve complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with employment standards, labour laws, and organizational policies.

Performance Management and Development: Drive the implementation of performance management programs and deliver training and development initiatives that enhance employee skills.

HR Program Implementation: Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to roll out programs in talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, and diversity and inclusion.

Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze people metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR initiatives, preparing and presenting data-driven insights to leadership teams.

Change Management: Guide leaders and employees through organizational changes, promoting adaptability and resilience.

Education, Credentials, Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters preferred.
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation required for British Columbia or Certified Human Resources Practitioner (CHRP) designation required for Ontario, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including strategic and consultative responsibilities. Experience in retail or medical environments is highly desired.

  • Strong business acumen and understanding to allow appropriate partnership with client groups

  • Flexible and able to adapt to quickly shifting business priorities and demands
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with HRIS systems and data analysis tools.
