Job Description

What is the Opportunity?

Are you a well-connected, proactive recruiter who thrives in building meaningful relationships and identifying top talent in competitive markets? RBC is seeking a Senior Recruiter to support the Capital Markets Talent Acquisition team, where you'll play a pivotal role in recruiting high-performing professionals for one of Canada's premier Capital Markets function.

This role isn't just about filling roles—it's about shaping the future of talent. You'll engage deeply with the market through sourcing, networking, coffee chats, and strategic outreach to create and nurture high-potential pipelines. As a trusted advisor to Capital Markets business leaders, you'll also contribute to special projects that drive innovation, improve process efficiency, and enhance candidate experience across the broader TA function. If you bring deep domain expertise, a passion for sourcing and talent intelligence, and thrive in relationship-driven recruiting, this role is built for you.

What will you do?

  • Drive end-to-end recruitment for experienced hires across RBC Capital Markets, including Investment Banking, Global Markets, Research, Global Credit, Corporate Banking, and functional support areas.

  • Lead proactive sourcing strategies using a variety of advanced tools and techniques (LinkedIn, Boolean, X-ray, alumni platforms, talent CRM, referrals, and more) to identify and engage top Capital Markets talent.

  • Build and maintain high-potential pipelines by conducting regular coffee chats, networking meetings, and attending industry events and forums to stay connected with talent in the market.

  • Partner with hiring managers and HRBPs as a strategic talent advisor, providing market insights, competitive intelligence, and consultative guidance on talent acquisition strategies.

  • Contribute to projects and initiatives aimed at improving recruitment efficiency, process design, use of technology (e.g., Workday, Phenom, LinkedIn), and best hiring practices.

  • Champion exceptional candidate experience and uphold RBC's brand in every interaction.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including employer brand, onboarding, operations etc. to ensure seamless delivery of recruitment services.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 7 - 9 years of progressive recruitment experience, ideally within Capital Markets handling complex/niche roles, with a strong emphasis on sourcing and market engagement.

  • Proven ability to build strategic, proactive pipelines through consistent outreach, networking, and coffee conversations with industry professionals.

  • Strong business acumen with deep understanding of Capital Markets roles and competitive talent dynamics.

  • Well-networked in the financial services space, with the ability to tap into both active and passive talent pools.

  • Experience leading or contributing to TA efficiency initiatives or special projects.

  • Highly organized with excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

  • Experience with recruitment tools such as Workday, LinkedIn and Phenom.

  • Knowledge of best hiring practices and talent analytics.

  • Exposure to global financial markets and experience recruiting in multiple geographies.

  • Experience managing both high-volume pipelines and niche senior-level searches.

What's in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.

  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits and competitive compensation.

  • Opportunities to take on progressively greater accountabilities

  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities

  • Opportunities to do challenging work
