    The Sr Inclusion Consultant, Business Advisory is a subject matter expert who is focused on enabling the integration of DEI considerations and best practices into talent strategies for designated lines of business (LOBs). Reporting to the Director, NA Inclusion, Programs & Partnerships, this role provides counsel on the development and evaluation of business-specific DEI strategic plans and initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, objectives, and values, and supports with the operationalization of objectives using a data-driven approach.

    Responsibilities:

    Consultation

    • Partner with HR partners to identify inclusion barriers and opportunities in LOB-specific processes/procedures throughout the employee cycle, including recruitment, employee engagement, development and retention.
    • Analyses qualitative and quantitative information to provide relevant insights, recommendations, and solutions based on an understanding of the LOB and enterprise DEI objectives to assist in the development of business/group DEI strategic plans.
    • Provide thoughtful and effective coaching to senior leaders to maximize skills/capabilities of the LOB and support an inclusive and psychologically safe environment.
    • Conduct independent analysis and assessment of industry landscape to identify emerging issues and trends, competitive insights, and best practices.

    Business Enablement

    • Assist in the promotion and delivery of enterprise Inclusion programming within designated LOBs (e.g., training, workshops, etc.).
    • Collaborate on the design and production of regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards; support LOB-specific communication plans for DEI initiatives.
    • Support LOB in the response to DEI sections of RFPs/RFIs, LOB-specific awards submissions, etc.
    • Support a variety of change management activities including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, and evaluation of DEI-focused initiatives.

    Relationship Management

    • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment between the LOB and enterprise DEI strategies and initiatives.
    • Work with stakeholders across the organization to develop consistent strategies for addressing shared challenges.
    • Collaborate with LOB and enterprise stakeholders to assess vendor needs, suitability in alignment with LOB objectives, budget, risk, and performance.

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years working in a DEI advisory, strategic and/or operational environment.
    • Deep knowledge of DEI considerations, best practices, and nuances in North America
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Experience working closely with recruitment, talent management, communications, and learning & development teams.
    • Collaboration & team skills, proactive and able to engage stakeholders across the organization.
    • Strong critical thinker who applies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine.
    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with analytics tools (e.g., PowerBI, Excel).

    Salary:

    $84,000.00 - $156,000.00

    Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.

    BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
