Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week
Shifts: 7.5 Hours per Day, Mon - Fri
Status: Permanent Full-Time

Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Total Rewards, the Total Rewards Analyst will provide analytical and technical support related to salary wage administration, internal equity, external market competitiveness, reporting, analytics and process improvement. In addition, the role will provide subject matter expertise and guidance to TeamUHN regarding pension and benefit issues.

Duties

Compensation

  • Assist in the development and/or implementation of compensation policies, procedures, processes and communication tools.
  • Conduct Market Analysis to Benchmark Compensation Data: Gather, analyze, and interpret external compensation data to compare UHN's pay against the market.
  • Administer the salary/wage administration and policy administration programs for all unionized and non-unionized employees.
  • Support Job Evaluation: Organize and participate in, the job evaluation committee to assess jobs using standardized tools and processes, ensuring internal equity and alignment with market standards.
  • Prepare Salary Increase Projections and Budgets: Analyze and forecast salary increase budgets for different departments, supporting informed financial planning and budget alignment with UHN's overall compensation goals.
  • Generate and Interpret Compensation Metrics: Create reports on key compensation metrics (e.g., compa-ratios, market positioning, compression) to identify trends and insights, enabling data-driven decisions to maintain competitive and equitable pay structures.
  • Analyze Pay Equity Compliance: Conduct regular pay equity assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and support fair pay practices, reducing legal risk and enhancing trust in compensation programs.

Benefits

  • Assist in Benefits Administration: Coordinate with the Total Rewards team, benefits providers and use HRIS systems to manage enrollments, updates, and terminations as needed to ensure efficient operations and timely access to benefits.
  • Address Employee Benefits Inquiries: Respond to employee benefits questions to provide timely, accurate information, enhancing employee satisfaction and understanding of available benefits.
  • Provide support to benefit changes including those flowing from collective agreement or other union settlements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of direct experience in compensation analysis and/or a combination of compensation/benefits analysis, ideally within a healthcare or large organization.
  • Knowledge of Canadian compensation practices, pay equity legislation, and benefits administration.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends is required.
  • Strong data literacy skills and ability to analyze large amounts of data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; sound judgement; strong analytical abilities; well-developed organizational, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to be innovative and creative and to manage priorities
  • Proven ability to work well independently, as well as within a team environment
