An overview of your future role at BBA

You'll report to the Payroll Supervisor and perform a variety of tasks for our Payroll department. Your responsibilities will cover the entire payroll cycle.

  • Complete the entire payroll cycle: processing hires, departures and other changes in employment conditions
  • Process payroll every two weeks, ensuring data accuracy across the Canadian provinces of employment
  • Ensure salary increases are paid and make retroactive payments, where necessary
  • Reconcile remittances to various levels of government or other agencies
  • Reconcile salaries and expense reports
  • Provide client service to BBA employees across all offices
  • Ensure weekly time sheets are processed in the ERP system
  • Monitor group insurance and RRSP/DPSP contributions
  • Help the Accounting team with month-end activities
  • Help with year-end preparation and control activities

Summary of certifications and job requirements

  • At least five years of payroll experience
  • Excellent written communication (English and French)
  • Bilingual, both spoken and written
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Asset: knowledge of ADP and Deltek's ERP Maconomy
  • Asset: experience with high-volume, multi-province payrolls
