About the role

Are you passionate about developing others? If so, this is an opportunity for you to join the HR Corporate Services Learning and Development team as a Learning and Development Coordinator.

As a Learning and Development Coordinator, who provides an exemplary learning experience, you will provide administrative support to the HR Corporate Services Learning and Development Team. We are looking for a candidate that can combine their strong attention to detail, an outstanding work ethic and a positive and enthusiastic attitude to contribute to our team. This is a fitting role for a passionate Learning and Development professional, with an HR educational background.

You will have an opportunity to develop your adult education portfolio by collaborating on various projects related to the design and implementation of innovative learning strategies and processes.

The successful candidate will report to a Learning and Development Manager and can be based at the Toronto or Montreal Intact office; however, this position may require occasional travel to other offices to provide learning experience support.

What you'll do here:

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to learners, consultants, specialists, and facilitators

  • Respond to all learning requests and queries in a reasonable timeframe

  • Provide comprehensive technical support and training for HR/learning management system (Contact/Workday) (program/shell creation and management such as updates, closing unused courses, etc.)

  • Leverage technical software such as Microsoft Teams and Contact to run workshops

  • Support and collaborate with external vendors and internal business partners across all units (Claims, Data Lab, IT, HR, etc.) to ensure learners have a positive learning experience

  • Provide comprehensive on-site and virtual support for workshops as needed (room bookings and set up, catering, supplies, equipment, etc.)

  • Use a proactive, solution-based approach to continuously enhance the learner experience

  • Ensure learners have timely access to learning materials (prerequisites, post work, course journals, etc.)

  • Review and update learning survey links, calibrate survey data and run related reports

  • Provide timely, ongoing status updates about unresolved and/or complex queries and issues in team meetings

  • Process and monitor training expenses (billing, chargebacks, licenses, accreditations, etc.)

  • Remain current on systems applications, corporate human resources policies and procedures, quality service standards and ongoing Human Resources and Learning and Development projects/issues.Review and update the learning calendar and course planner

  • Act as an ambassador for the HR Corporate Services Learning and Development Team while promoting Intact as a Canadian Top Employer

  • Perform other related coordination and administrative duties as required

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related discipline

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience

  • Technical aptitude in learning management systems (Workday)

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent time management and analytical skills

  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills along with a proven ability to build relationships

  • Organized, detail-oriented and a self-starter with a versatile ability to find collaborative solutions

  • Strong team player who embraces change and is committed to continuous improvement in adult education

  • Ability to multi-task and meet multiple individual and team deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with changing priorities

  • Discretely upholds confidentiality and manages sensitive situations with tact and urgency

  • Proven ability to lead by example in alignment with Intact's Values

  • Bilingualism in English and French is required. For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
