We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Specialist (Designer) to join our team to help design and develop industry-leading learning and development programs across our different business units.

As a Learning Specialist (Designer) at GardaWorld, you will play a vital role in turning vision to reality through relevant instructional design and polished integration skills to develop world-class training programs. You will work closely with diverse business units to support them in ensuring that our employees are well-informed, highly engaged, and equipped with the knowledge and skills required for their roles. Your expertise and dedication to developing impactful instructional resources will help our Global Learning & Development team uphold its commitment to deliver unparalleled employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to design, develop, and customize courses and programs on a wide range of topics relevant the security industry
  • Collaborate with the team to assess learning objectives and content depth, making informed decisions about which elements require complex development (e.g., custom animations, gamified experiences) versus simpler, rapid development
  • Lead the development and integration of complex eLearning modules, incorporating advanced interactive elements such as branching scenarios, simulations, gamification, and assessments using industry-standard authoring tools like Articulate 360
  • Ensure complex eLearning modules are optimized for performance across various platforms (desktop, mobile, and tablet). This includes troubleshooting compatibility issues and ensuring seamless interactivity on all devices without compromising user experience or content integrity.
  • Apply graphic design principles to create visually engaging and user-friendly learning materials, ensuring all courses—including eLearning modules, presentations, and written content—adhere to corporate branding guidelines
  • Differentiate learning materials to address specific audience requirements for different job roles across the different geographies in which we operate
  • Design and implement evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or masters degree in a related field (e.g. educational technology, education, media)
  • 3+ years of experience in training, instructional design, or a related role
  • Proven experience in instructional design and training development
  • Proven mastery in elearning authoring tools (Articulate), Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
  • Strong grasp of graphic design principles and UX design
  • Video editing skills are an asset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong research and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
