Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Operational Learning and Performance (OLP) team provides innovative and digital learning, quality, and knowledge management solutions to the Canadian Operations business lines. Our solutions are aligned to the overall strategy and vision for Canadian Operations and enable our business partners to provide client centric service excellence.

As part of Operational Learning & Performance at Sun Life Financial, you will be joining an energetic and collaborative team who delivers world class Learning, Quality, Knowledge Management solutions to Canadian Operations.

The OLP Analyst will define and develop reporting standards for OLP enablement capabilities. They will support the OLP team by collecting and analyzing information to tell the OLP story through data on the impacts, outcomes and value of our solutions. They will support OLP to determine trends and actions which will drive outcomes aligned with strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with OLP leaders to meet their needs with insights and measure the success of our solutions by making the connection between the capabilities we support
  • Define and build reports and visualizations to effectively communicate information driven enablement insights to our business partners.
  • Ensure integrity of reports by reviewing, identifying potential errors, and providing recommendations.
  • Collect, define, and deliver standardized, digital reporting capabilities for OLP to support Ongoing Delivery Operational Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This includes identification of requirements, source of information, analysis, and formatting for delivery to leaders and business partners.
  • Capture and translate the information insights into compelling stories to influence business actions (Quality recommendations) and demonstrate the value of the OLP solutions.
  • Review Learning, Quality and Knowledge Management information to identify opportunities to improve and enhance learning programs and recommendations to update and correct business process documentation.
  • Seek opportunities to automate reporting & leverage available tools.
  • Partner with stakeholders to collect information to build reporting to demonstrate the impacts and outcomes of our enablement solutions to the business.
  • Work strategically and independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business or Technology an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into insights, actions and outcomes to demonstrate value of enablement capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PPT)
  • Experience with visualization and analytical tools like Tableau, PowerBI and other reporting platforms.
  • Ability to think strategically to tell a story with data to demonstrate impacts and alignment to business outcomes and OKRs.
  • Tableau development experience and designing dashboards / decision enablement tools.
  • Minimum of one to two years' experience in extracting and analyzing data, developing reports, visualizations, and testing for integrity to demonstrate value of enablement capabilities to business.
  • Experience working in Shared Service functions with capabilities such as Learning, Knowledge Management and Quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in interacting and relating complex concepts to all levels of business leaders.
  • Ability to succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and quickly find alternative solutions to business and data challenges.
  • Attention to detail and strong solution focused skills.
  • Comfortable learning new applications quickly with minimal direction
  • Skilled at managing multiple priorities and deadlines, while maintaining a steadfast commitment to delivering work of the highest caliber.
  • As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
