What you'll do here:

  • Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract high-caliber executive candidates.

  • Partner with senior leadership to understand organizational needs and create tailored recruitment plans.

  • Map external executive level talent and companies to inform strategic hiring approach.

  • Work closely with VP of Talent Acquisition to ensure stakeholder alignment and appropriate candidate management.

  • Leverage a variety of sourcing techniques, including networking and utilizing social media platforms, to identify and engage with potential executive candidates.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and senior executives, providing expert advice and guidance throughout the recruitment process.

  • Conduct comprehensive interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications, leadership capabilities, and cultural fit within the organization.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitive landscape to proactively identify opportunities and challenges in executive recruitment.

  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified executive candidates for current and future openings.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance the company's employer brand and attract top executive talent through various channels.

  • Ensure all recruitment activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

What you bring to the table:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, with a proven track record of successfully placing VP, senior and executive-level candidates.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a combination or education and work experience in a related field.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior executives and stakeholders.

  • Well established professional network; actively makes strong industry connections and has proven success with tapping into passive talent pools.

  • Deep understanding of market trends, competitor landscapes, and the specific leadership requirements for the property and casualty insurance industry.

  • Strong ability to assess and evaluate executive talent, ensuring the highest standards of leadership capabilities and cultural fit.

  • Ability to engage and influence top executives who are not actively looking, demonstrating your persuasive communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure high-impact leaders for our organization.

  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a keen eye for identifying top talent.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage complex recruitment projects from inception to completion.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships and networks.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS), such as Workday, HR software, recruitment and sourcing tools.

  • High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

  • No Canadian work experience required but must have authorization to work in Canada.

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country
