ABOUT US

Since 1978 Air Inuit has been providing scheduled, charter, cargo, and emergency air transportation services in Nunavik and beyond, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Collectively owned by the Inuit of Nunavik, through the Makivik Corporation, the airline operates a fleet of over 35 aircraft ranging from a Twin Otter 300 Series to a Boeing 737 200C, 300 and 800 and employs over 1000 employees in one of the most challenging flight environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide training to the Ground Operations department in classrooms settings, hands-on and online (e.g. de-icing, forklift operator, ground equipment, etc.) and assist other departments in the organization with specific training as required;
  • Develop and maintain training manuals, courses, presentations and evaluations;
  • Keep up-to-date training records for all employees (completed, required, expired);
  • Issue training completion certificates;
  • Develop digital training tools;
  • Participate actively in the Integrated Management System (IMS/SGS) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).
  • Perform any other tasks required by the company to ensure the efficiency of the operation.

WHAT MAKES YOU AN IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Knowledge of Air Inuit operations and network
  • College diploma or equivalent work experience;
  • Hold a valid driver license
  • Professional attitude and behavior (teamwork skills, autonomy, dynamism, interpersonal skills, honesty, versatility, initiative, organizational skills, etc.);
  • Ability to communicate in at least two of the following languages: Inuktitut, French, English;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations relating to operations and training (Transport Canada, IATA, ICAO and Labour Canada).

COMPENSATION

  • Salary and benefits are determined according to company policy.

WORK CONDITIONS

  • Rotational position: 2 weeks of work followed by 2 weeks off.
  • Permanent full-time position, based in YUL.
