About the role

As an IT Business Analyst Specialist in the HR SE IT team, you will play a key role in aligning technological solutions with the company's strategic objectives. Working closely with various stakeholders, you will be responsible for analyzing business needs, designing IT solutions, and improving operational processes.

Responsibilities:

Needs Analysis:

  • Facilitate/participate in business requirement specification workshops to identify and document business needs and IT solutions.

  • Analyze existing business processes and propose improvements.

Solution Design:

  • Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.

  • Propose innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Participate in the design, validation, and effort estimation of IT solutions.

  • Support development, quality assurance activities, and acceptance testing.

Project Management:

  • Participate in planning, coordinating, and managing IT projects.

  • Ensure compliance with deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.

Documentation and Training:

  • Write technical and functional documentation.

  • Participate in and support change management and user training activities.

  • Provide post-implementation support.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with development, infrastructure, support teams, HR, and other relevant departments.

  • Ensure effective communication among different stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in computer science, information systems management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a business analyst or in a similar role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent understanding of information systems and technologies.

  • Experience/knowledge of processes and systems in the human resources sector.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Bilingual (French and English) Required to interact regularly with colleagues across the country.

  • Experience analyzing within the context of using the Workday system is an asset.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Strong leadership and initiative-taking skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of Agile and/or Scrum methodologies is an asset.

  • No Canadian work experience required, but authorization to work in Canada required.
