About the role
We are looking for an Intraday Workforce Planning Manager to join our growing workforce national team!
What you will accomplish here:
• Lead a national workforce planning team supporting all Intact commercial and personal lines underwriting teams in Canada.
• Responsible for optimizing phone and transactional service levels in collaboration with operational teams.
• Implement action plans, when necessary, in collaboration with operational teams to improve results. Be proactive and challenge the status quo when necessary.
• Work closely with the long-term workforce planning team.
• Analyze and review operational results and forecast implications to share them with your business partners.
• Develop short-term forecasts and identify ways to achieve forecast accuracy targets.
• Contribute to the monthly refinement of capacity plans based on the latest information.
• Achieve goals through the proactive management of a multi-site team with diverse skill sets.
• Act as an expert in workforce planning and explain complex concepts to an audience.
• Look for ways to better manage team performance, build engagement, and provide comprehensive support for day-to-day underwriting operations.
What you'll bring to the table:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, mathematics, statistics, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Excellent management and communication skills.
Proficiency in Excel, with good knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
Analytical, critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Good understanding of the underwriting team structure and workflows is an asset
Advanced knowledge of workforce planning software, such as NICE IEX, is an asset.
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
Ability to focus on vaguely defined problems that require a creative approach.
Excellent track record as a leader.
No Canadian work experience required, but authorization to work in Canada is required.
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
