The Lac La Ronge Indian Band's Education Department is accepting applications for the following Full-Time Permanent position, based out of the Mikisiw Awasis Early Learning Centre in the community of La Ronge, SK.

EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM REGULATIONS COORDINATOR

The suitable candidates will be able to fulfill the following duties/responsibilities:
• Provide support to the LLRIB Early Childhood Program to ensure guideline and regulation compliance in Little Red River, Hall Lake, Sucker River, Grandmother's Bay and La Ronge;
• Monitor sites for health and safety;
• Coordinate and plan staff training;
• Provide guidance and direction to staff to meet centre standards and expectations;
• Work closely with team members to ensure needs are being met in a timely manner;
• Learn and support Early Childhood Program principles and philosophies;
• Provide work plans and progress to the Immediate Supervisor;
• Other work-related duties as assigned by Immediate Supervisor.

The suitable candidates will possess the following qualifications/abilities:
• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent;
• Valid Early Childhood Educator Level 3 issued by the Ministry of Education
• Trained in using ASQ and ECERs screening tools
• 2-5 years of experience working as a supervisor, providing guidance, feedback; follow-up, and mentorship;
• A combination of Education and Experience may be considered;
• Experience using technology and data base systems effectively;
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision;
• Ability to travel to various LLRIB communities and provide training to staff;
• Valid First Aid/CPR, WHIMIS and Food Safety Handler's Certificate is an asset;
• Ability to speak /understand Cree and/or knowledge of Cree Culture is an asset;
• Excellent verbal, written communication and public relations skills;
• Must have Valid Class 5 Driver's License;
• Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check and a Driver's Abstract.
