The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for processing timely and accurate time and payroll for US employees. This is a forward-thinking, self-motivated role that applies subject matter expertise to everyday time and payroll scenarios.

What you'll do:
Administer Superior Refinery timekeeping, including supervisor shift sheets, addressing missed punches, and transferring employees to accurate job codes and rates
Administer Superior Refinery leave and absence management for hourly employees
Assist Manager, Payroll and HR Operations to update and add new transfer codes, adjustment rules, and pay rates in ADP eTime
Track ESST hours and administer usage of hours
Assist Superior Refinery HR with the administration of site-specific programs such as perfect attendance
Administer vacation programs, including payouts for separations and year-end carryover and payouts where applicable
Audit timekeeping hours and coding and approve time records prior to processing payroll
Identify and recommend updates to timekeeping and payroll procedures
Ensure timely and accurate processing of US payroll and related transactions including garnishments, taxes, and deductions
Complete additional payroll transactions such as allowances, acting pay, severance, stock options, etc.
Audit employee data in various systems: Workday, SAP, ADP, etc.
Complete journal entries after each payroll, including adjustment entries for invoices and cost transfers
Support finance for general ledger reconciliations and accruals
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
Resolve employee and leader inquiries regarding payroll, tax, timekeeping, and policies
Handle self-serve tickets and Workday tasks assigned to payroll
Complete internal and external ad hoc requests for special projects and reporting
Who you are:
Legally authorized to work in the US
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
Minimum five years of payroll processing experience in a large multi-state organization
Proficient with ADP WorkForce Now, ADP eTime, SAP, or other enterprise payroll system
Experience with multi-state payroll
Expert with Microsoft Excel and data transformation
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Previous experience with union collective bargaining agreements
Extensive knowledge of payroll taxes
Understanding of payroll accounting / HRIS / supporting systems
