About this opportunity:

Cenovus is looking for a Senior HR Advisor for the Lima, OH refinery. Reporting to Sr Manager, HR benefits, and HR Operations this individual contributor will provide HR support to Site Leaders, Front line leaders, and employees, working closely with the broader HR team as well as the HR Centers of Expertise to deliver programs and services in alignment with the site and people strategy plans.

What you'll do:

  • Partner with the Business Leadership Team in planning for the people components of the business strategy such as Employee Relations, Work Force Planning, and Change Management that will drive high performance and culture
  • Influence Site and Department objectives and people plans to ensure they reflect the stakeholder requirements
  • Execute HR projects to close gaps identified in the Site's capacity, capability, and people experience.
  • Work closely with COEs to ensure function programs are consistent with the People Plan, and People Principles and are executed efficiently and effectively, tapping into resources and capability within the HR Department
  • Facilitate an integrated approach to employee development, talent reviews, succession planning, and internal development and mobility to enable leaders to meet current and future performance requirements

Who you are:

  • Legally authorized to work in the US
  • 8+ years of HR experience with experience demonstrating technical and behavioral HR capabilities

Preferred:

  • Experience in Organizational Effectiveness / Team Effectiveness, and proven ability to influence culture at all levels of the organization
