We are currently seeking a talented individual to join Student Support Services, Student Wellbeing and Inclusion as a. Positive Behaviour Intervention Supports (PBIS) Coach provides consultation to schools to provide positive behaviour supports and skills acquisition supports. This may include whole class supports, aiding with individual behaviour support plans and safety plans, providing professional development, behaviour and developmental assessments, and some direct instruction.

Essential Qualifications

  • Master's degree in special education or equivalent
  • Experience working in a team-based environment to develop, implement and evaluate positive Behavior interventions and supports to children and youth
  • Experience working with children and youth with autism and other developmental disabilities
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification or under supervision to become a BCBA

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Additional information

This is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following condition(s) of employment:

  • Security clearance, including Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Standard first aid certification (to be met within 6 months of hire
  • Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) or under supervision to become a BCBA
